FAQ

Do you have a website?
Yes, click here to learn more about me and about my work, and to join my mailing list for occasional newsletters and updates.
How do I know when new items are added to your shop?
Visit my website and sign up for my mailing list, and I’ll let you know about upcoming workshops, shows, and when new items are added to my shop.
Do you take custom orders?
I LIVE for custom orders! Just send me an email at barbara@bsmithphotography.com with the details. It may be helpful to include your phone number so I can call you to discuss the details.
What is your guarantee and return policy?
I don’t offer refunds but I do guarantee my workmanship. I’m happy to replace any defective product, excluding damage due to shipping, normal wear and tear, or mistreatment. Please note that minor imperfections are inherent to the Auratone process and are not grounds for replacement of any Auratone product.
For custom photographic products, what type of images look best?
For jewelry, close-ups are preferred. For stationery, anything goes! Once I receive your images, I may contact you with suggestions in terms of cropping, enlarging, or other adjustments.
What size and file format should my photos be?
Images should be 300 dpi and in jpg format. If there’s any doubt as to the best size and crop, send an image that has not been cropped too tightly. If I don’t think the image is appropriate, I’ll let you know.
How do I upload my photos?
Attach them to an email and send to barbara@bsmithphotography.com. If you’re sending a number of large images, send them to me via a file transfer service like www.yousendit.com.
What is the proper care for Auratone jewelry?
As much as I know you will love your Auratone jewelry, please take it off before sleeping, swimming, and/or bathing in order to preserve and protect the clarity of the glaze. Auratone jewelry should not be submerged in water. It should be kept in a cool, dry place when not being worn. Avoid scratching, extended direct sunlight, soap, chemicals, cleansers, and sprays. Over time, Auratone jewelry will take on a soft, aged patina…a mellowing. This is to be expected and is inherent to the beauty of each piece.
What forms of payment do you accept?

I gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or regular account payments all through PayPal.

Kit, refill, and book orders will usually ship within 48 hours of placement. Custom stationery and jewelry orders will usually ship within 3 weeks, sometimes sooner, depending on my workload. If for some reason I'm not able to ship as usual, I'll let you know the expected ship date. As I’m a sole proprietor, if I go out of town, I’ll send out an announcement so you’ll have plenty of time to plan accordingly; just be sure to go to my website and join my mailing list.
How will my order be shipped?
All domestic orders will be shipped via UPS Ground Service. Orders over $100 will be insured. For faster service, please contact me via email. Auratone kits cannot be shipped internationally due to the inclusion of AuraToner, a flammable liquid.
