Learn how to combine your images with wax in my "Introduction to Photo Encaustic." Encaustic has been around for ages, but its application to photos has created a recent resurgence of interest among fine art photographers. Images are treated with beeswax mixed with Damar resin in a variety of techniques that add intriguing depth and a unique tactile quality.
In the tradition of altered art, you may opt to work with your favorite album, CD, or DVD covers…original or scan.
Bring: A selection of photos (4-12) on CD or portable drive (300 dpi).
Fee: $75/hr - 3 hr. minimum
